The Bible — The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired Word of God without error in the original writings, and complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.
God — There is one God, our Father and creator, who revealed Himself fully in His Son Jesus Christ, and who infills believers and is active in the Church as the Holy Spirit. (Duet 6:4, 5; 2 Cor 13:14 ; 1Pet 1:2)
Jesus Christ — Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross, the complete and final sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate. (John 1:1-2,14 Col 1:15; 2:9 John 14:6-11; Heb 1:1,2)
The Holy Spirit — The Holy Spirit is the active power of God in the Church, and is promised to all believers. The Holy Spirit is the agent of regeneration, and empowers the believer for the Christ life with dynamic gifts of service and power. (Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38-39; Rom 15:13 )
Spiritual Gifts — Through the Holy Spirit believers are given access to spiritual gifts. These include prophecy, speaking with unknown tongues, miracles and divine healing. (1 Cor 12,13,14)
Man — Man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.(Gen 2:1-20; Rom 5:6-17)
The Gospel —The Gospel is the “good news” that Jesus Christ through his complete work on Cavalry’s Cross purchased total salvation for all those who will receive Him as Lord. It is the primary mission of all Christians to spread the good news throughout all the earth. The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe. Salvation cannot be earned by personal righteousness, but must be received by faith in the complete work of Jesus Christ. (Luke 24:45-49)
The Church —The true Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head. The Church of Jesus Christ is the chosen agency of Christ to bring about the authority of His Kingdom in the earth through serving one another and our community. (1 Peter 2:9, 10; Matt 16:18)
Baptism and Communion — Water baptism by immersion as an act of faith in the name and person of Jesus Christ as Savior, is a beautiful testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life. It is both an act of obedience to the commandment of the Master, and an open declaration of our purpose and commitment. The Lord's Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers and only believers should share in it.
Our Resurrection and Hope — We believe that what we suffer now will be considered as nothing compared to the glory that will be given. For all creation is waiting eagerly for that future day when God will reveal who his children really are. To this end we watch and wait in hope knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Looking to the day when our faith will become sight, when the last enemy – death itself -will be destroyed, and we will see Him and be like Him. Amen. (Rom 8:18-19; Matt 25:13; 2 Cor 5:8; 2 Cor 15:20-26; 1 John 3:2)
